Lowering the fine city’s carbon footprint while increasing its resilience to climate change and offering an investment opportunity to the public.

We will do this by installing and maintaining solar panels on eligible buildings. The owners of these buildings will benefit from subsidised energy; investors in the scheme will earn an interest rate, and a surplus will be generated which will fund local community benefit schemes.

We’re looking for volunteers to help us at 2 events on the 8th June – the One Planet Norwich festival at The Forum, and Earth Care Fair at Friends Meeting House. Please get in touch if you can help!

Norwich Community Solar is a community-owned cooperative, with the aim of increasing the amount of solar power in Norwich and sharing the benefits among the community.

We will shortly be seeking investment from members of the public to fund these installations. Investors will receive an annual interest payment.

This is an exciting opportunity to help Norwich become a low-carbon city, primed to meet the challenges of climate change.
